I have a family history of diabetes and was worried about managing my weight and blood sugar. After working with Nina as a personal trainer, I signed up for nutritional counseling as well. Nina reviewed my eating habits using a daily food log and helped me understand what I was doing well and where I could make improvements. Instead of coming up with a totally new (and unrealistic) diet, she helped me to modify the foods I already eat to make them more nutritious and satisfying. She also provided daily meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists to make it easier. As a result, I am eating better and my energy level is steady throughout the day.
Working with Nina is a true gift. Her pragmatic approach to nutrition helped me to focus on eating mindfully and making good choices to improve my overall wellness and energy level, without sacrificing taste or slaving away in the kitchen. And our weekly training sessions over Zoom have literally saved me during these uncertain times. My strength, flexibility, endurance and stability are all way up since the pandemic began, building on the solid foundation we established in person beforehand.
